Door Measurement Guide

Before purchasing your smart lock, it's important to ensure it will fit your door properly. Follow this simple guide to measure your door and check compatibility with our smart locks.

What You'll Need

  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil and paper to note measurements

Step 1: Measure Door Thickness

Measure the thickness of your door from front to back.

The SecureTouch Pro is compatible with doors that are 1-3/8" to 2" thick, which covers most residential doors.

Step 2: Check Backset Measurement

Measure from the edge of the door to the center of the deadbolt hole.

This is called the "backset." Standard backsets are either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4". Our smart locks are adjustable to fit both standard sizes.

Step 3: Measure Bore Hole Diameter

Measure the diameter of the hole where your deadbolt is installed.

Standard bore holes are 2-1/8" in diameter. Our smart locks are designed to fit this standard size.
